Dead Still  launches exclusively on Acorn TV in the US as an Acorn TV Original with episodes one and two. The remaining four episodes arrive weekly every Monday until 15th June.

It may seem morbid to us, especially in the midst of a pandemic, but during the Victorian period, post-mortem photography was a popular way to commemorate the dead. Dead Still, set in1880s Ireland, follows Brock Blennerhasset (Michael Smiley) and his assistant, Conall Molloy (Kerr Logan), two photographers who specialize in taking portraits of the deceased for their families.
Detective Frederick Regan (O’Hare) of the Dublin Metropolitan Police is investigating an escalating number of murders and begins to suspect that Ireland may have its first serial killer at large. As Blennerhasset becomes a possible suspect and his family is put in harm’s way, they must track down the serial killer before he strikes again.
If you like period dramas, especially Victorian, This new series, co-directed by  Craig David Wallace (Murdoch Mysteries) will not disappoint, with plenty of clever witty dialogue and three main characters who have a great chemistry between them. I highly recommend Dead Still.
